The Bunkhouse
The bunkhouse sleeps 12, but we do have an
additional fold-up bed if needed, and all bunks have a personal reading
light. We have a few areas on our
two lawns which would take a tent or two, and we have some camping equipment if
necessary.
Rookhope is situated in an Area of
Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is a pleasant sleepy little village with one
shop and one primary school.
We are right next door to the only pub in the
village, which is called The Rookhope Inn where you will be able to sup a
welcome pint, have a very substantial meal, have a bit of a chat-on with your
friends and then retire next door to your bed.
In the morning you will be able to help yourself to a
continental breakfast in the kitchenette. There will be a selection of cereals,
fruit juice, and fresh fruit, along with the usual bread butter and
jam/marmalade of course.
There are two kettles, a toaster a
microwave, and if anyone wants to make scrambled egg I will supply some eggs.
If you have your heart set on a cooked breakfast, you will have to liase with
The Rookhope Inn at time of booking to avoid disappointment.
We have a fully kitted out disabled
wet-room, with toilet, basin and shower, plus one able bodied shower and
separate toilet. There are of
course shaver points in the wet-room and toilet, and a hairdryer will be
available on request.
You will be able to dry any wet clothes in
one of our two tumble dryers, and there are a few oil-filled radiators as well.Barrington Bunkhouse will be open for
business all year round. Please note - there is no mobile phone
reception in Rookhope.
